Rapiscan is a global leader in security screening products. They deliver 100,000+ products across 170+ countries, and their Learning Academy arm is responsible for providing training for these products, both digitally and instructor led.<\/p>\n

Originally, they bought Totara to manage the delivery of learning to their Internal audience. Since then, the platform has developed to meet business needs to include external clients. The Challenge<\/h2>\n

Rapiscan needed to meet their client\u2019s needs by delivering blended<\/a> technical and system accredited training in one centric platform. In order to deliver their system and technical training to their clients in sectors such as, aviation, critical infrastructure, event security, defence and customs and border control (all with competing needs), they really needed something through which they could tailor their offering to client\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

Rapiscan also had product experts with knowledge that could supplement the digital learning, but no easy way of sharing their knowledge (and that\u2019s where Totara Engage<\/a> came in).<\/p>\n

As the platform and their offering has grown and global markets have increased, this has changed their requirements. Their visual theme was falling behind, and they were looking for a more contemporary look to be able to market the platform to external clients.<\/p>\n

In addition, customers needed separation for better management, so multi-tenancy was also needed.<\/p>\n

The Solution<\/h2>\n

An upgrade to Version 15 was required to utilise Totara\u2019s multi-tenancy functionality. This now allows Rapiscan to tailor the offering to individual clients and gives client leaders access to \u2018live\u2019 report data. It also allows bespoke branding for their enterprise clients.<\/p>\n

Totara Engage was implemented to allow subject matter experts to add product resources and micro-learning<\/a> articles to supplement digital learning.<\/p>\n

As for the rebranding, Totara partner Learning Nexus<\/a> worked with Rapiscan to address the need for a refreshed brand with customer engagement in mind. This worked to create their branded version of Totara Learn and Engage, called Cortex<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cortex is an all-in-one digital learning platform that delivers unrivalled training capability and leading features to ensure personalised, flexible, and collaborative learning. Put simply, it\u2019s built to inspire teams with high-growth results.<\/p>\n

Results<\/h2>\n

The implementation has enabled Rapiscan to offer a much higher quality service to its clients. This has helped them to increase training engagement<\/a>, and to introduce structured pricing tiers.<\/p>\n

They now have an ever-growing list of client \u2018tenants\u2019 (currently 57) as well as 700+ completions in January-February 2023 alone. The Upgrade to Version 15 also allows Rapiscan to tailor the offering to individual clients and gives client leaders access to \u2018live\u2019 report data.
